Sewing in NM

Hi, I'm Beverly at Wearing Black in New Mexico. Before I moved to NM I did a lot of quiltmaking, but very little dressmaking. I just had my machine tuned up (the dryness had rendered it "almost broken") after I tried to sew a purse lining...and ended up doing that by hand. Now I'm so excited to make a skirt. I haven't picked a fabric yet, but it's in the 60's in Albuquerque, so I'm thinking spring and fresh colors. Green, maybe?
